This piece shares a mantra that has pulled me through heartbreak and grief, mental health struggles, existential crises, and school and work stress - "There is Always More Than This." This is inspired by two lessons from my mother: "this will pass" and "don't globalize moments," which is to say, what I am experiencing in one moment is not a static truth that will always remain, it is only for this moment, and there is more to come to look forward to. This idea, embedded in the truth that we do not know what is to come in the future, has become a source of hope and strength as I encounter life's struggles.
